No Bake Chocolate Crunch Cake

Get cooking with this easy and delicious cake!

                                                                          

MAKES: 10 - 15  slices

YOU  NEED:

Whisk

Wooden spoon

Mixing bowl

bullet

Sieve

bullet

Small pyrex bowl

bullet

Clingfilm

bullet

Small rectangular cake tin

INGREDIENTS:

300g (12oz) rich tea biscuits

bullet

100g (4oz) soft and unsalted butter

bullet

200 g (8oz) caster sugar

bullet

1 egg

bullet

150 g (4 ½ oz) plain cooking chocolate

bullet

50g (2oz) cocoa powder

Step 1

Roughly cut and crush the rich tea biscuits with a knife or your hands

Step 2

Whisk the butter, sugar and egg together in a bowl until creamy

Step 3

Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt in the microwave on a high setting between 1 and 1½  minutes then stir it until it is smooth

Step 4

Mix together the butter and sugar mixture, melted chocolate, crushed biscuits, and sieved cocoa powder. 

Step 5

Line the cake tin with cling film. Spoon the dough into the tin and smooth it out by pressing down hard. Cover the top with clingfilm.

Step 6

Chill in the freezer for one hour; cut the cake into slices and enjoy!
