Look at that lovely fabric on the bed and the wallpaper! Enjoyable living history style tour of the House of Dun near Montrose in Scotland.
Replacing a medieval tower house that had been home to the Erskine family since 1375 the new house was built in 1753 for the 13th Laird of Dun. It was the designed in the Palladian style by renowned architect William Adam and is a great example of a Georgian Mansion house.
The tour takes you through all the rooms each featuring interesting details and artefacts supplemented by family stories told by the costumed guides.
Outside there are lovely garden with fab views across to the Montrose basin.
