Freelancing
If you prefer bespoke commissioned designs, I am available for freelance work. I design mostly in Illustrator but I'm very familiar with Photoshop too having worked as a digital artist and photographer in the past.
My career has always included a wide variety of creative work:
2018 - present: Surface Designer. After training with Make it in Design School I set up and started selling on my online shops Zazzle and Spoonflower.
2016 - 2018: Digital artist using Photoshop; I exhibited my art and created a set of commissioned postcards for a breast cancer art exhibition, also marketing material for a holiday rental and a 'Walk Aberdeenshire' calendar.
2006 - 2016: Freelance writer/photography. I had monthly columns in Country Kitchen for over three years; in addition to writing, this also included food styling and photography. I regularly wrote commissioned features with accompanying photos for Camping Magazine (monthly), Caravan and Motorhome (frequently), craft features for kids' magazines Go Girl and Animal Friends (monthly), plus a large number of single publication feature articles. I did all my photo editing in Photoshop.
I am comfortable meeting deadlines and requirements having worked as a freelance writer/photographer in the past, which required adaptability and flexibility.
